It is a combination of traditional gypsum with an acrylic polymer, added with white pigment and additives, which guarantee its flexibility, excellent sanding and long life. It can be used as a sealant, for the preparation of canvases for painting, or as a base for the correct application of gold leaf. Acrylic gypsum can be colored, adding the desired quantities of Holzfarbe concentrated dye, or COW series water-based pastes.

Bologna Gilding Chalk is used in the gilding to prepare the specific basecoat for the preparation of the surface to be decorated with gouache gilding, useful also in the preparation of fillers and generally in the realization of decorations of high value.
